The concept of Costa Vallarta Boutique Villas came about as a way to better professionalize the villa rental industry in Vallarta. For too long the manner in how rentals were established has been overshadowed by unprofessional service by some operators, doubt for renters as to what the actual level of quality will be for the property, and a very inefficient manner on how one can actually find a property that’s available for the date you want, without having to contact many properties to find one that works best for you or your client. This will all change with CVBV.
CVBV has been established by Producciones Viva, a company that has been providing quality products and services to Puerto Vallarta since 1989.

How villas are selected for the collection
Since 1999 we have been inspecting boutique hotels for our Mexico Boutique Hotels collection. During that time we have developed an inspection system that allows us to identify which properties are professionally operated and that offer a high level of quality service. To be a part of CVBV, each property must go through this process and the inspections continue on an annual basis. As well, if there are any complaints about a particular property, we follow each one up to see if there has been any change in the level of quality offered.
How to become a member of CVBV
For homeowners interested in having their property join the Boutique Villa collection, please contact Sylvie Laitre, the Director of Costa Vallarta Boutique Villas and Mexico Boutique Hotels. After a short interview, an inspection can be scheduled to view your property. Not all properties will be approved – we are looking for only those that are serious about delivering a quality rental experience for their guests. If approved, it is a rather simple process to get your property and information about it into our system. If not approved, we will provide you with a list of recommendations of what could be done to upgrade your property to become a member of CBVB.
CVBV Concierge service
Although each CVBV property has a full staff of qualified people, their job is to take care of you on the property during your stay and it can be difficult for them to know everything there is to see and do in and around Puerto Vallarta. CVBV has done extensive research to provide you with an extensive list of exclusive, highly recommendable venues. This is the same staff who have been publishing Vallarta Lifestyles since 1989 – we know Puerto Vallarta intimately! We have a comprehensive list of tours and activities that we can arrange for you, activities that we have personally checked out and approved. Again, we want your stay to be a memorable one! Our exclusive Concierge service for members of CVBV will take care of reservations for tours, activities and restaurants and be available to you for any questions or requests you may have. No request is too big or small.
About Mexico Boutique Hotels?
MBH is a collection of small, boutique hotels in Mexico (currently 46 properties in 29 locations) that offer a high level of service and a unique vacation experience. In most cases hotels have less that 50 rooms (commonly just 20) thereby making is easy to provide very personalized service. Each property is rigorously inspected before it can become a member and a follow-up inspection is done each year. MBH provides reservations services similar to CVBV, as well as offering public relations and marketing services for the group and individual hotels. MBH has become the mark of quality for small boutique hotels in Mexico.

Producciones is the parent company that, along with CVBV and Mexico Boutique Hotels, offers a number of products and services to the greater Puerto Vallarta region. Producciones Viva (PV) was incorporated in 1988 and began by establishing a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for the Puerto Vallarta real estate market.
